Use Of “BAT” Terminology
Last Updated: May 2025
BATWATCH™ uses a unified language system to help patients and providers understand what’s happening in the brain, before symptoms ever begin. This terminology helps cut through confusion, eliminate fear, and keep everyone focused on what can be done early to protect long-term brain health.
1. Why the Terminology Matters
• Traditional medical language around brain health can feel overwhelming, hopeless, or too late.
• Many patients avoid testing because they think nothing can be done, or they fear what results might say.
• The BATWATCH™ Protocol uses clear, accessible language to flip the script, making early detection a signal of strength, not weakness.
• Our terminology also standardizes how providers communicate about biomarkers, risk, and intervention, reducing variability across care settings.
2. BATWATCH™
Definition:
BATWATCH™ is a nationwide system that empowers individuals to track key brain biomarkers over time and take meaningful action to protect long-term brain health.
Purpose:
• Gives patients visibility into early biological drift.
• Helps providers identify shifts before symptoms appear.
• Standardizes how testing, follow-up, and interventions are delivered.
• Builds a trusted national registry through the BATWATCH™ Registry.
3. BATWATCH™ Protocol
Definition:
A structured, test-agnostic framework for monitoring brain biomarkers, identifying risk patterns, and offering proactive treatment through defined stages.
Core Elements:
• Early detection through BAT CHECK™ testing.
• Risk stratification via the BAT LEVEL INDEX™.
• Intervention guidance through the BAT PILL™ Protocol.
• Longitudinal tracking via repeat testing and the BATWATCH™ Registry.
4. BAT LEVELS™
Definition:
BAT LEVELS™ refer to the measured concentrations of Beta-Amyloid and Tau proteins, two key indicators of early biological drift in the brain.
Why It Matters:
• Elevated BAT LEVELS™ can signal early disruption before symptoms appear.
• Tracking these markers gives patients a proactive check-engine light for the brain.
• Like cholesterol or A1C, these scores can change with the right steps.
5. BAT SCORE™
Definition:
A simplified snapshot of current BAT LEVELS™, reported on a scale for easy understanding.
Purpose:
• Helps patients and providers gauge current status at a glance.
• Enables quick communication of trends or shifts.
• Encourages routine check-ins and comparative analysis over time.
6. BAT LEVEL INDEX™ (BLI)
Definition:
A proprietary scoring system that integrates testing results, background data, and mechanism panel outcomes to generate a comprehensive risk classification.
BLI Phases:
• Pre-Test Score , guides urgency and pre-auth needs.
• Active Testing Score , based on BAT biomarker results.
• Final Intervention Score , used to determine next steps or treatment eligibility.
7. BAT CHECK™
Definition:
A simplified, accessible entry point into the BATWATCH™ Protocol, typically involving a single blood test to measure BAT LEVELS™.
Purpose:
• Makes early brain health screening easy and routine.
• Encourages participation through challenge series (see: BAT CHECK™ Challenge).
• Designed to reduce stigma, increase accessibility, and gamify early detection.
8. BAT TEST™
Definition:
A validated lab test that quantifies Beta-Amyloid and/or Tau levels through blood-based diagnostics.
Note:
This is an umbrella term. BAT TEST™ does not refer to any one proprietary lab test, it includes all validated, FDA-reviewed, or widely accepted testing platforms that meet BATWATCH™ accuracy standards.
9. BAT TESTING™
Definition:
The overall process of assessing BAT LEVELS, whether through single-timepoint BAT CHECK™ or full multi-test confirmation and risk stratification.
Features:
• Lab-agnostic.
• Longitudinal and repeatable.
• Used across the BATWATCH™ Registry to improve predictive modeling.
10. BAT PILL™
Definition:
The BAT PILL™ is a therapeutic approach that uses known autophagy activators to help reduce BAT LEVELS™ in the brain.
Note:
This is not marketed or sold as a cure. The BAT PILL™ is prescribed off-label under strict protocols by licensed medical professionals.
11. BAT PILL™ Protocol
Definition:
A defined intervention pathway that guides how the BAT PILL™ is administered, dosage, timing, washout, and follow-up.
Purpose:
• Ensures consistency and safety.
• Allows providers to monitor patient response using the BAT LEVEL INDEX™.
• Tracks outcomes across the BATWATCH™ Registry to improve future protocols.
12. BATOPHAGY™
Definition:
BATOPHAGY™ refers to the targeted clearance of Beta-Amyloid and Tau through the body’s autophagy pathways.
Why It Matters:
• Explains the scientific rationale behind the BAT PILL™ Protocol.
• Simplifies complex biology for patient communication.
• Demonstrates how natural processes can be amplified to improve outcomes.
13. BAT LEVELS™ Awareness Month
Definition:
An annual initiative to educate the public, increase BAT CHECK™ testing, and empower early brain health actions.
Use:
• National campaigns
• Influencer-driven videos
• Provider education and discounts for first-time testing
14. BATWATCH™ Registry
Definition:
The national data repository for tracking outcomes, trends, and effectiveness of the BATWATCH™ Protocol.
Goals:
• Collect real-world evidence (RWE) for future coverage and approvals.
• Monitor biomarker progression and treatment impact.
• Build the largest longitudinal brain biomarker registry in the world.
15. BATWATCH™
Definition:
A creative and educational platform powered by BATWATCH™ that uses documentary, entertainment, and challenge formats to build awareness around brain health.
Includes:
• BATWATCH™ reality series
• Public experiments on biological shift (e.g., sleep deprivation, lifestyle interventions)
• Entertainment-meets-education content to reduce stigma and increase visibility
